The Brown Pennell Story

Brown Pennell Chartered Accountants is located in the rural Waikato town of Te Awamutu. The business started back in 1992 with 2 partners, we have had a few changes over the years, but amongst it all, Keith Pennell has been involved since day one. The partnership commenced in Te Awamutu on Alexandra Street by the Dairy Company, then moving to Roche Street, and finally to new premises built in 1997, here at 70 Albert Park Drive.

Prior to joining the practice in 1992, Keith had worked for BDO Chartered Accountants, Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries and New Zealand Sire Services Ltd in various accounting roles.

Qualified at Waikato Polytech, Keith was admitted to the Society of Chartered Accountants as an associated Chartered Accountant and obtained his Certificate of Public Practice in 1993.

Keith has a wide variety of clients involved in Farming, small & medium Business including self-employed & sole traders, Rentals and Investments. He has experience with numerous industries including Farming, Bloodstock, Construction, Transport, Accommodation, and Investment activities, just to name a few.

Our clients are based throughout New Zealand – starting at Kerikeri in Northland, through Auckland to the Waikato/Bay of Plenty, Rotorua & Taupo. We have clients as far south as Timaru in the South Island and a few clients that are based overseas and use Brown Pennell to do their New Zealand work. So wherever you live, we can help you.
